The team

Our Executive Management Team is responsible for the overall running of Erskine and our future strategy. Most team members also have a hands-on role in the management of one or more areas in our organisation.

Steve Conway

Chief Executive

Steve is responsible for leading, directing, inspiring and empowering the staff of Erskine. Steve served in the Royal Marines for 26 years reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He joined Erskine from the NHS National Services Scotland and before that was Chief Executive of NHS Orkney.

Sue Robinson

Director of Care

Sue has responsibility for the care operation and is the link between Erskine staff, residents, relatives, the chief executive and Board of Trustees. Sue is a registered nurse with 40 years’ experience of working in, or with, the health care sector, in clinical and managerial roles. Sue is an RGN, RM and has a Diploma in Management Studies and MBA.

John Brady

John Brady

Director of Business Development

John has responsibility for our marketing, fundraising and social firms. He has a wealth of experience in fundraising having previously been employed in fundraising roles at Sense Scotland, Alcohol Focus Scotland and was Scottish manager at the British Lung Foundation. He is currently the Chairman of the Institute of Fundraising in Scotland.

Ronnie Mckay

Ronnie Mckay

Director of Corporate Services

Ronnie Mckay is a graduate of Glasgow University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Thomson McLintock (now KPMG). He has held a variety of senior finance posts with TNT, Autologic, Caledonian MacBrayne and Scottish Enterprise. He joined Erskine in 2004 and is responsible for finance, information technology, facilities and maintenance.

Steve Simpson

Steve Simpson

Director of Human Resources

Steve joined Erskine in July 2010. He has held senior positions with British Steel, Vesuvius and BAE Systems. His qualifications include B.A (Hons) in Public Administration, Postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management, MA in Law and Employment Relations and an MBA. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
