Glasgow Housing Association have come to an end of their annual fundraising for Veterans charity Erskine and raised over £9000

Staff organised book sales, raffles, a race night, a fiddle concert and a handbag auction.
Individual staff members also took part in fun runs and marathons and trade unions GMB and Unison made a donation.   The grand total raised amounted to £9023 which is an outstanding amount to have raised!

Members of staff from GHA, who formerly served in the armed forces, visited the charity which cares for ex-servicemen and women to present a cheque.  Erskine resident and ex-Scots Guard Harry McCallion had a chance to chat with fellow ex-Scots Guard Willie Noble and share experiences during their visit.

Susan Bradley, Community Fundraiser at Erskine, said: "This was a fantastic effort from GHA staff and the money raised will make a big difference to the people who use our services.  I have been overwhelmed with the support from GHA who have found fun new ways of raising some of our much needed funds.  Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this amount- we really appreciate your support!"

GHA Chair Gordon Sloan added: "Erskine is a charity close to my heart and I’m pleased so much was raised for this very worthwhile cause."
